On 27th February 2026, Design Perspective – Hyderabad Edition took place at ITC Kohenur, Hyderabad, with registrations opening from 5:00 PM onwards. The evening brought together Hyderabad’s architecture and interior design community for a knowledge-rich gathering that emphasized local practice while incorporating global design perspectives. The evening provided a unique platform for industry leaders, emerging designers, and design enthusiasts to come together and engage in thought-provoking discussions.
Hyderabad has long been a city where history and innovation coexist, with a vibrant blend of tradition, technology, and culture. This spirit was evident throughout the evening, as architects and interior designers gathered not only to attend insightful sessions but to engage with ideas that could directly influence their work on site, in the studio, and at the drawing board. The event underscored Hyderabad’s emerging position as a design-forward city, where local heritage and contemporary ambition come together seamlessly. It was a celebration of the city’s unique identity, without the need for a “travelling format,” as the design community embraced discussions rooted in local relevance and global vision.

A Room Full of Familiar Faces – and New Energy
The audience represented a strong mix: architects, interior designers, studio principals, young practices, and project leads. What stood out was how consistently engaged the room remained across sessions. The atmosphere was recognisably local faces that belonged to the city’s ecosystem, meaningful introductions that felt organic, and conversations that stayed anchored in Coimbatore’s context.
Even after the formal programme wrapped, many attendees stayed back to continue discussions, an indicator of what Design Perspective does best: it creates a setting where dialogue doesn’t end when the stage lights dim.

A Keynote That Redefined Design Through Global and Local Lenses
The evening opened with Ar. Amit Gupta, Founding Partner at Studio Symbiosis, who set the stage by introducing his studio’s approach to high-end, branded residences. His keynote focused on luxury design, showcasing projects in collaboration with renowned brands like Elie Saab. Ar. Gupta explored how Studio Symbiosis merges opulence with functionality, creating spaces that are not only aesthetically striking but also meticulously crafted to enhance the living experience. His presentation emphasized the delicate balance between sophisticated design and practicality, shedding light on how luxury can be thoughtfully integrated with cultural and environmental context to create unique, timeless residences.

A Keynote That Showcased the Future of Design through a Global Framework
The second keynote speaker, Ar. Richard Wood, Managing Director Asia at Snøhetta, captivated the audience with an overview of the studio’s global approach to architecture. He shared projects that highlighted Snøhetta’s multidisciplinary methods, from cultural landmarks to urban planning. Ar. Wood emphasized the balance between artistic vision and environmental responsibility, showing how the firm creates spaces that foster human connection while respecting nature. His presentation inspired the audience to think beyond traditional boundaries in their own architectural practices.
