About Achmad Deni Tardiyana

Achmad is the Design Director of Urbane Indonesia, an architectural firm based in Bandung. He graduated from the Department of Architecture at Institut Teknologi Bandung in 1986 before pursuing a master’s degree in Urban Design at the School of Architecture, Washington University in St. Louis, USA, in 1993. He later earned a second master’s degree in the Urban Design and Development Program at the University of New South Wales, Australia, in 1999. His work primarily focuses on commercial developments, including apartments, hotels, offices, mixed-use projects, and master plans. Beyond architectural projects, Achmad is also involved in various activities such as teaching, curating exhibitions, serving as a competition jury member, and writing. He was one of the curators for the Indonesia Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2014 and Arch:Id 2025. He was also one of the jury members for the Monsoon Architecture Festival Awards in 2023. He is regularly invited as a speaker in the fields of architecture and urban design, both in Indonesia and abroad.
